Oslo, Norway, 16 March 2021 - As stated in the Q4 2020 report announced on 5 February 2021, the Norwegian authorities started to temporarily close down retail trade other than food, pharmacies and other important supply functions in Norway late January 2021. Since then several XXL stores have been closed, re-opened and some closed again on short notice. The information regarding our stores is at any point of time updated and available on https://www.xxl.no/store-finder
Yesterday evening, with effect from today 16 March 2021 and until mid-April, the Norwegian authorities expanded the temporarily close down of retail trade in several parts of Norway, including greater Oslo area and Viken. Consequently as of now 17 out of 37 XXL stores in Norway are closed, as well as its subsidiary West System Norge AS, in total representing approximately 50 per cent of total operating revenues in Norway and 20 per cent for the Group.
Norwegian authorities will continuously update on changes in the restrictions, as well as potential new regulations. XXL monitors the situation closely and will initiate actions to compensate for lost sales in stores and reduce costs during this period. In order to further boost its online sales, XXL has introduced free freight and live chat in the affected areas. XXL will at all times follow the regulations imposed by the authorities.
